Improv Master Classes
"Shannon Stott's workshop [Mind Reading for Improvisers] is a must for anyone who is serious about improv and/or acting. Months later, I am still telling people about some of the exercises we did… Thank you, Shannon."
- Taj Baker

Mind Reading for Improvisers
Improv can feel like magic when you are in sync with your partners. It can feel like you’re reading their… that’s right.
That synchronicity isn’t supernatural; it can be achieved with practice. This three-hour workshop uses mind reading techniques and applies them to the craft of Improv. Achieve faster clarity in a scene and powerful connections to your partners, resulting in what looks and feels like clairvoyance on stage.

Between Beats
Explore the moments between dialogue in this three-hour workshop. We’ll focus on treating the unsaid on stage with as much gravity as we treat what is said. Together, we’ll learn the importance of silence in your scenes, learning to lean into it rather than filling it. Discover how silence adds depth to your characters, weight to your storytelling, and builds trust between you and your audience.

Connect to Self and Others
This workshop highlights the multitude of backgrounds, stories, and perspectives present in a scene and show. Performers are asked to be brave, share experiences, be empathetic with partners, and be vulnerable with themselves. You will emerge from this workshop able to make powerful emotional choices on stage, create charged and immersive environments for your audience, and pull from your own experience in order to create characters with depth. You’ll know how to own your place on stage.

“I came into Shannon's 'Connecting to Self and Others' class terrified and excited...It was the perfect workshop”
- Christine Cauchon, University of Rhode Island

Stepping into Stereotype
When someone is lumping you into a stereotype or you have stereotyped someone else, fear can take over and lead to all sorts of uncomfortable situations. In this workshop, Heyfa Limam and Shannon create a safe space where you may learn to play with and against stereotypes, broaden your awareness, learn from your missteps, and move through your scene with respect for your scene partner, your audience, and yourself.
